Old Colorado City is steeped in history. The original building that stood where the Old Town Guesthouse B&B is now was the 1892 Second City Hall, Jail and Firehouse. It burned down in 1990. The land was a parking lot for five years when Kaye and David Caster bought the land and custom built the B&B. They ran the B&B for 10 years.

From there, you’ll see why it’s the mountain that inspired the song “America the Beautiful.” We’re pleased to introduce you to the spectacular new Summit House at the top of Pikes Peak as well.

You’ll be amazed at the different varieties from across the continents, displaying over 7,000 species of beautiful butterflies, moths, bizarre beetles, giant spiders, deadly scorpions, and more. Entomologists and students from around the world travel here to study these rare and often now-extinct creatures.
Broadmoor Seven Falls
“The Grandest Mile of Scenery” is the entryway to seven cascading mountain waterfalls at Seven Falls.
Just a short drive from the Guesthouse, Seven Falls is one of Colorado’s most captivating natural wonders. This magnificent series of waterfalls is situated in a 1,250-foot-wall box canyon between the towering Pillars of Hercules.
As you climb up the challenging 224 steps (an elevator is also available), you will enjoy stunning natural vistas of rich valleys and striking rock formations. At the top are hiking trails and the banks of glistening streams that feed Seven Falls, and its 181-foot drop of falling water.

Western Museum Of Mining And Industry
An educational and experiential museum all about gold mining, gold panning, enormous machines that chew through rock like butter and acres of mining history will keep you interested for hours.
The mission of the Western Museum of Mining and Industry is to educate the public about the history and continuing contributions of mining, ranching, and other supporting industries in the American West. There are ongoing and changing exhibits about the gold mining industry, past and present. In late 2019 they unveiled “Cripple Creek: “The World’s Greatest Gold Mine.”
We were somewhat shocked and astonished at the standard practices for mining “back then” and came away with a new respect for miners and the industry in its early years. Truly an eye-opening experience.

When you enjoy accommodations at our inn in Colorado Springs, you are treated to a delicious breakfast to provide an energizing start to your day. Guests may just want a private time to savor some coffee and read the paper or choose to join other visitors to discuss their travels.
Weather permitting, early morning coffee and catching up on business or family emails can be enjoyed on our breakfast room patio, or in the library. We serve all guests at the same time, usually at 8:30 AM. In-room Breakfast Trays are a popular option.
Our delicious, homemade breakfast, is something that definitely keeps the regulars coming back! We also can accommodate diet restrictions and allergies when given advance notice. We have a coffee and tea station setup 30 minutes before breakfast is served. There is also coffee makers in each room with coffee/creamer/sugars down the hall!

Q: Can I use more than one discount or promotion during my stay?A: We love offering specials, but we can only apply one discount per stay. Gift cards cannot be combined with other promotions.
PET POLICY
Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Yes, we’re proudly pet friendly!
Q: Is there a pet fee?A: Yes, there’s a $30 per night fee. Certified service animals for guests with disabilities stay free, as required by law.
Q: Can I leave my pet in the room alone?A: Only if they’re kenneled. Otherwise, please don’t leave your pet unattended.
Q: Where can I walk my dog?A: There’s a dog park onsite as well as a spacious city park just half a block away for walks and exercise.
Q: What if my pet causes damage?A: If we can’t rent the room again within 24 hours due to pet mishaps, cleaning or damage fees may apply. This includes damage to furnishings, carpet, hot tubs, or steam showers.
Q: Can I just show up with a pet?A: Please don’t. We limit the number of pets on property, so contact us in advance to ensure we can accommodate your furry friend.

Q: Are kids welcome?A: Absolutely! While we are more adult-oriented, well-behaved children are always welcome.
Q: Are there kid-specific amenities?A: We don’t have a pool, playground, or designated play area—but we do have a game room with a TV, dartboard, pool table, and board games.
Q: Can my child sleep comfortably?A: Somewhat! The Indian Paintbrush room has a twin bed, and two other rooms can accommodate a rollaway (extra fee). For infants, we suggest bringing a “pack and play.” Older kids might be comfy with a yoga mat. We’re happy to provide extra blankets and pillows.
Q: What’s the cost for kids?A: Children 12 and under stay free. Teens and older are $35 per person per night. If we have availability, we may be able to offer a discounted adjacent room—just give us a call.
Q: Have you hosted families before?A: Definitely! We’ve welcomed toddlers, hosted full family reunions, international weddings, and even baby showers.
