The Old Town GuestHouse was newly built in 1997
as a Colorado Springs bed and breakfast. The three story brick building
is in perfect harmony with the 1859 period construction
of the historic Old Colorado City.
The GuestHouse is located on the site of the 1892 city hall,
fire station and jail which was surrounded by saloons,
gambling parlors and brothels. Ongoing restoration of
Old Colorado City has enhanced its beauty without
diminishing its charm.
The streetscape that greets you as you walk out the front
door of the inn...
will welcome you to this wonderful experience.
Old Colorado City was founded in 1859 as a "Pikes Peak or Bust" gold rush town.
It was envisioned as a mining supply hub for the new gold mines in South Park, Blue River,
and Pikes Peak. In 1861, it was briefly named as the capital of the new Colorado territory.
Later annexed by Colorado Springs, this national historic district today contains numerous
shops, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. Today the GuestHouse stands at the gateway to
Old Colorado City, the "heartbeat of Colorado Springs."

The GuestHouse contains modern amenities which set a new
standard for Colorado bed and breakfasts. The foyer has
an elevator to facilitate access by all guest to all
areas of the inn. Our African Orchid room has been designed and equipped to exceed ADA requirements for hotel accommodations. It's spaciousness makes moving within the room a snap, the roll-in shower is big enough for two and all controls are within easy reach whether seated or standing. Other details, too numerous to mention, complete the ADA amenities yet the room remains one of our most popular rentals - perhaps its the four poster, mosquito netted bed, or the spectacular views of Cheyenne Mountain and Pike Peak.
The fireplaces in the
dining room and
library encourage you to mingle with other guests. The
game room has a pool table and exercise equipment. The
inn has a security alarm system and fire sprinklers to
assure your total comfort and safety.
All guest rooms have been architecturally designed to offer
maximum privacy, luxury, convenience and safety. Our rooms
offer fireplaces, personal hot tubs on private porches
or steam showers. Each guest room is named after a
flower: Wildflower Wreath,
Moroccan Jasmine,
Old Town
Cactus, Colorado Columbine,
African Orchid,
Victorian
Rose, Oriental Poppy and
Indian Paintbrush. In addition, there is a 2 to 40 person
private
conference room available for a variety of options
